Accounting times, Generation 17: The new iPhones do that

A first cell phone with battery over 5000 mAh, a model with almost 20 percent more battery capacity: Apple has added its new iPhone models to the power supply. The company is now praised by the company specific information In addition, how much mAh is in each of the models. Apple must also make the information on the basis of the new EU energy labels.

However, the published information only affects models that have a SIM card slot. Apple is currently still installing this in the EU. In regions such as the USA or Japan, there are only devices with ESIM. The manufacturer uses the space gained for minimally larger batteries, which according to it enable around two hours more video playback.

According to the published information, the iPhone 17 comes to 3692 mAh (volt number unchanged), that would be an increase of almost 3.8 percent compared to the iPhone 16. The iPhone Air, which replaces the iPhone 16 Plus in the portfolio, is equipped with 3149 mAh (ESIM-Only worldwide). It gets even more extensive for the Pro models. Apple grants the iPhone 17 per 18 percent more battery (4252 mAh) than the 16 Pro, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is now 5088 mAh. The latter would be the first time that Apple installs a battery with over 5000 mAh. The plus of capacity compared to the 16 Pro Max is just less than 9 percent.

Apple is performing numerous hardware changes in the new Pro models. So the housing is now an aluminum unibody, as you know it from the MacBook. The glass surface on the back was replaced by a “Ceramic Shield” smaller size-there is also the Magsafe charging pad. Inside, there is also a vapor chamber cooling for the first time, which relies on sealed liquid and is intended to ensure that heat is brought out faster.

Apple had built the last two pro-model generations with a frame made of titanium, in which there were initially complaints due to too warm hardware. That was logical: Titan has poorer thermal conductivity than aluminum, which was previously only in the standard models. Surprisingly, Apple even advertises that: the keynote said that the thermal conductivity was now “20 times larger” for the new ProS. Buyers of earlier models with a titanium frame will not taste good at all.
