Create backup with Time Machine
Before you take the Mac Mini apart, you should secure your data. This is the most convenient with the on -board tool Time Machine: Connect an empty external hard drive or SSD to your Mac, asks MacOS if it can use the hard drive for Time Machine. If you agree, the backup automatically begins a few minutes later. Depending on the storage medium and amount of data, this can take a few hours.
