Technology giant Meta can make a new attempt to enter the segment with smartcuts, Digitimes reportsS After the company abandoned its original idea of creating the wearing device in 2022, it now seems that plans for this have come to the agenda again.
According to the newspaper, unlike most smart-on-the-market smartworms, designed for self-use, the Meta proposal will mainly supplement and assist the use of other devices in their ecosystem, such as the Meta Ray-Ban and the Meta Quest hedgeets.
This means that at least parts of the company’s initial quest for its smart chap will be preserved, such as the incorporation of cameras into the clock to help recognize and explore our environment.

Redus rumors online say that the front prototype of Meta had 2 cameras – with 12 MP and 5 MP sensors. One was located at the bottom (12 MP) and required it to be removed to use, while the other (5 MP) was positioned at the top of the housing, just above the dial, for the purpose of video calling.
Digitimes also adds that working on the new-old-older endeavor of Mark Zuckerberg began in early 2024. Given the fact that the Meta Connect event, at which we expect a number of news related to the giant’s wearable devices, is likely to be shown there.
