With Deepl Voice, the Cologne-based company Deep offers a live translator. The tool can translate into even more languages in the future. There is also an integration for zoom and the range of functions is being expanded.
The new languages that Deepl Voice Behrrcht are mandarin, Ukrainian and Romanian. Deepl CEO and founder Jarek Kutylowski writes in a press release: “Global companies cannot afford to be slowed down by language barriers.” There are already more than 200,000 business customers who use Deepl. Deepl Voice, i.e. the live translator, has been around since autumn 2024. It works both virtually and personally. In online meetings, the translations appear as a subtitle, on mobile devices there is a real-time translator for spoken conversations.
Specifically, the language entries in Deepl Voice are also available for German, English, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Dutch, French, Turkish, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Italian. The translation as a subtitle is available in 35 languages, including Hebrew and Vietnamese.
Translation aid in meetings
If you use the translator in a meeting, a complete transcript can now be downloaded. In order to meet all security and compliance requirements, admin rights apply here.
Deepl Voice is already available as integration for Microsoft teams. Now Zoom follows. Of course, they also bring their own translation functions. In addition, Deepl Voice for Conversations is already available for iOS and Android.
At Deepl, all products are basically based on their own AI models. These are optimized for real-time language translation. The former start-up now has more than 1000 employees and, according to their own statements, acts in 228 markets worldwide. The focus is on security for business customers.
