Since MacOS 15 Sequoia, a window arrangement in tiles is said to be possible, similar to the tools magnet, Rectangle or Moom. When I put the mouse arrow on the green button on the traffic light symbols, a menu appears, but I only see two symbols there. However, eight icons are shown on the net and also with them. Also, many commands cannot be selected under “Windows> Moving & Skaling”.
In order to be able to use the new functions “move & scale” in macOS, you must first switch on the option “Use monitors use different spaces” in the “Desk & Dock” system setting at the bottom of “Mission Control”.
The actual purpose of the setting is that you can use independent spaces on any display in multi -monitor operation.
However, it has other effects: Stage Manager and the split screen mode also only work if you have activated the option.
Another advantage: the full screen mode only uses the active display without darkening the rest.
If the option is deactivated, a space spanned all screens and the change to another space takes place on all devices.
A window can only be opened via several monitors without the settings.
In this mode, menu bars and dock are only visible on the main monitor and cannot be fetched to another by touching the display edges.
