Tip: Open the app link in Safari

When I click on an app on the Mac, the “App Store” Mac app automatically opens. I would like to open the page in Safari.

For Safari, Apple has designed this behavior in this way and it cannot be changed.

One possibility is therefore to use another browser.

If you click the link in Safari and press the Command key, the App Store on the Mac also opens; Safari then also opens the page in a new tab.

If you have found the link in another application as Safari, move it into the browser using drag & drop.

If the link is linked to a term, most applications via the context menu offer that you either “copy the link” or “Edit link”.

In the second case, a window opens in which you can copy the address to insert it into the Safari address bar.
