The late Siri upgrade comes in the spring with iOS 26.4

During the WWDC 2025 last week, Apple announced that the new plan was the upgrade and repeatedly postponed a voice assistant Siri to come out next year. No more details have been shared, but Bloomberg now claims that internally the company has set the spring of 2026 as a deadline for the announcement.

The updated and upgraded Siri voice assistant will be able to use the user’s personal data and understand what’s on the phone’s screen to execute different requests. This version of Siri was first shown in June last year, but to this day there is no trace of it.

Among the problems is the question of how many of the AI functions the American company has to develop itself and how many of them to transfer services from partners, such as Openai, for example. The possibility of acquiring various small developers of AI startups was also discussed.

Apple has relied on its schedule to launch the new digital assistant on the iPhone in the spring of 2026, according to the source, it will be up to the iOS version 26.4.

Siri was first introduced in 2011
