Apple introduced iOS 26 with Liquid Glass interface and new AI features

Apple just started this year’s WWDC 2025 developer conference and introduced the new versions of its software platforms. iOS, iPados, Macos, Watchos, Visionos and TVOS are already united by version 26, and they also share a completely renovated interface called Liquid Glass.

IOS 26 has taken the majority of today’s Apple presentation, with most of the features introduced on the smartphone platform also appearing in other operating systems. Apple points out that for the first time iOS, iPados, MacOS, Watchos, Visionos and TVOS share so much in common and unified vision.

The inspiration behind the iOS 26 interface comes from the so -called. Liquid glass, which gives a lighter, translucent and at the same time a deep sense of interface.

As early as the screen, you can see the refreshed elements in the design that continue at the home screen and icons. Interestingly, the so -called light and dark theme is introduced to the bright and dark theme. All Clear Look, which turns icons into translucent elements and looks quite stylish.

Among the fully updated applications in iOS 26 is the camera, which has recently begun to be clogged with all new (needed and unnecessary) features and settings. The new view is very simple and focuses on the key two modes – Photos and Video, from which, however, sliding sideways leads to the rest.

The Safari browser is also refined and looks much lighter, with more free space and more discreet elements.

There is also a key change for the main application in iOS 26 – this for calling calls (Phone). There is already a new view that brings together your favorite contacts on one screen, the last numbered numbers and messages from the voicemail. The Call Screening feature is introduced, which can accept a call from a doubtful unknown number, ask him who he is and what he calls, and only then let the call call to the user. This extra will probably not be available in all regions and in all languages.

There is the same thing with Messages, where suspicious messages are filtered and not displayed for them. In addition, there is already an option to choose a background for chat, creating polls in group chats, writing indicators in group chats and more.

With AI features, Apple is being wounded this time and was more moderately promised by last year when he made loud requests for great innovations, but failed to deliver all of them. However, news such as Live Translation is welcome – real -time translation on phone calls, chat in messages and video calls via Face Time.

Visual Intelligence has also received new extras, including a Circle to Search with Google, the ability to search for information about something we see on our screen. Or the option of adding an event to the calendar, if we come across a concert poster, for example.

There are also news in almost all other apps, including Apple Music, Apple Maps, Apple Wallet and Apple Pay, and the Games gamers app is a whole new game.

iOS 26 is now emerging as a beta for developers, an open public beta starts in July, and the final version is expected to be expected in the fall, probably in September with the iPhone 17.
