Apple’s developer conference WWDC 2025, which begins on Monday with a keynote, will probably focus primarily on the group’s new operating systems. The rumors in terms of fresh hardware, on the other hand, are sown thin. But now there is an interesting new detail: a company that may be related to Apple has already registered a brand in April that would fit a new Apple product.
Reach in the market database
The product developer Parker Ortolaniwho used to work at The Verge, discovered the information In the US brand law database. There, the term “Homeos” for a “Computer Software Design” and various other services in connection with computing technology including application development were registered. “Homeos”, in turn, could stand for “Homeos”, a new operating system that Apple allegedly plans for its new home device that has been expected for a long time.
Accordingly, it could be that Apple may already announce its “home device” to the WWDC-or at least the associated operating system. “HomePad” is rumored as a possible name. It is said to be a rectangular, iPad-like reduced touchscreen device with which Homekit hardware is controlled. A dock with a loudspeaker may also be planned, and follow -up products for the HomePod loudspeaker are also pending, which could combine the functionalities. In April, however, it was said that Apple initially postponed the “home device” because it depends on new Siri functions that are only expected in 2026.
Mailbox company behind “Homeos”
The “Homeos” brand was registered by a previously unknown company called “Home Operations Suite LLC”. An LLC can be founded within minutes, so there is a lot to suggest that a larger company is behind it. However, a direct connection to Apple cannot currently be demonstrated.
In the past, however, the iPhone manufacturer had often relied on working with a mailbox company in order to register brands in advance, but not to attract attention as an Apple. The question now is whether Apple has actually decided to launch the “home device” without better siri.
