Apple’s next big show will soon take place: At the WWDC 2025, the manufacturer will present new versions of its operating systems from iOS 19 to MacOS 16 at the beginning of June. This gives a first glance where the trip for iPhones, iPads and Macs is going. In the room there are not only a possible redesign of the user interface, but unusually many construction sites. This includes a little-exciting start of Apple Intelligence, the persistent Siri debacle and the dismantling dispute with developers for commissions.
In Episode 97, Malte Kirchner and Leo Becker illuminate the most important points to which Apple has to provide answers. We talk about the latest dramatic interventions of the judiciary and EU regulators in Apple’s app store business with commissions and how the billions of billions in turns change with it. We also have the bumpy start of Apple Intelligence and the eternal question of whether Siri can be saved. The topic is also the operating systems and the rumors about Apple’s smart home initiative.
